Richard T. Bender

Richard T. Bender is Director of Operations for Retirement Plan Services, LLC. He is also a Principal of the Firm.

As Director of Operations, Rich's primary responsibility is the overall operations of the daily valuation platform offered by Retirement Plan Services (RPS). Rich oversees the management of the Operations Team as well as the office administrative staff. He works closely with outside vendors to insure operational efficiencies are met. As a member of the company's management team, Rich also assists in the day to day operations of the business.

Prior to joining RPS, Rich was Vice President of Benefit Consultant, LLC, a division of Warren, Averett, Kimbrough & Marino, LLC in Birmingham Alabama . He was responsible for company operations as well as client development and services. He was also responsible for maintaining company profitability and performance assessments. He worked closely with financial advisors to develop plan design as well as pricing for all new business as well as conducted employee education meetings. Prior to joining Benefit Consultants, Rich was Plan Administrator and Communication Specialist in the Trust Division of AmSouth Bank.

Rich earned his Bachelor of Science in English/Language Arts and Secondary Education from the University of Alabama.
